Margaret Smith is a Project Consultant at Transform Consulting Group. Margaret’s experience includes assisting a variety of nonprofits and youth-serving organizations who were struggling to demonstrate their impact and secure funding. She helps clients establish clear goals and create a roadmap to accomplish them, determine how to evaluate their impact, and articulate their impact to grant funders and donors.
Margaret holds a Masters in Social Work with a concentration in community and organizational leadership from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Marian University. She is passionate about addressing social issues through effective programming, education, and advocacy, and is specifically passionate about addressing issues related to youth. She has worked for several youth-serving nonprofit and social service agencies that focus on youth development, mental health, and advocacy. Most recently, she served as a Prevention and Education Specialist with Chaucie’s Place. In this position, she assisted in the development and implementation of child sexual abuse prevention programming. She coordinated with local school administrators to bring this prevention programming to schools across Central Indiana.
Prior to beginning at Transform Consulting Group, Margaret also worked with the Indiana University School of Dentistry (IUSD) to lay the foundation for a collaborative partnership with the Indiana University School of Social Work. Her project focus involved conducting a year-long intensive needs assessment and evaluative study to explore the possible value and feasibility of integrating a licensed medical social worker within the IUSD clinic to address barriers to care and other patient needs.
Margaret’s favorite part about working for Transform Consulting Group is having the ability to provide crucial “big-picture” services to agencies to help them increase their efficacy without taking away from their day-to-day operations and programming!
