Amanda Lopez is the President and Founder of Transform Consulting Group. She leads a team dedicated to helping organizations make sense of data through the development of tools and systems. Amanda works with organizations and their leaders to develop competencies and skills to make them more effective and sustainable. This often results in creating strategic plans, fund development plans, and board governance tools. She also brings together diverse partners to address problems more prominent than any organization can solve alone (following a collective impact framework).
Amanda holds a Masters in Social Work with a concentration in policy and program evaluation from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society with honors from Purdue University.
Before starting Transform Consulting Group, she was the Policy Director of an association of human service organizations in Los Angeles. Through the prestigious Presidential Management Fellowship program, she worked for the federal government at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in the Budget Office, the Head Start Office, and the Children’s Bureau.
Amanda is most proud of how TCG is helping organizations use the data they have to improve their work. This looks different for each client but typically involves leadership growth with the client’s staff as they grasp the importance and value of data; program changes that lead to improved results; affirmation of the client’s team that the work they are doing IS making a difference and matters and so many more.
She’s also pumped about the data dashboard and data visualization work. Her TCG team uses these tools to connect clients’ data, make the data user-friendly and share the data in an accessible format for staff, partners, and other key stakeholders.
