Amanda Schortgen

Communication Manager

Amanda Schortgen is the Communication Manager at Transform Consulting Group. Too often she sees nonprofit organizations who are doing incredible work, but nobody knows about it. That is one of the reasons why Amanda works with clients to tell their story of impact to stakeholders through visual reports, marketing, and communication strategies.

Prior to joining the TCG team, Amanda served as the Event Coordinator and Development Associate at the YWCA North Central Indiana where she worked to raise funds and awareness for local domestic violence victims and their families.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Media Communications from Indiana Wesleyan University and actually spent a couple years working as a television reporter. She is most passionate about organizations that are serving & empowering women and young adults. She really discovered this passion while working with teens in the Grant County area during her college years. After seeing the challenges students face, specifically with friends and in dating relationships, she developed a program with the goal of encouraging healthy relationships among teens. Today she volunteers with teens and serves on the board at The Center for Whitley County Youth. Her and her husband are also new foster parents with White’s Residential & Family Services.

Amanda enjoys the fast pace environment and getting to learn about the important work of many organizations and agencies across the state. She loves knowing that the work she puts in is making an impact in many lives.

Fun Fact: Amanda is a proud Wildcat and ran competitively for Indiana Wesleyan University in both cross-country and track and field for 4 years. Her favorite event is the 800m.
