Transform Consulting Group wants interested nonprofits to know that the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute (ICJI) is accepting applications for Sexual Offense Services (SOS) grant funding. The (SOS) funding could be used in the following ways: (1) improve sexual assault advocacy services for victims; (2) increase education and awareness in communities; (3) target underserved populations; and (4) provide training for students and professionals in effort to reduce the reoccurrences of sexual violence. Program efforts should be focused on victim safety; heightening community education and awareness in the areas of prevention and safe housing; and intervention for victims and their dependents. ICJI has not yet been informed of the federal funding level for the October 1, 2013 to September 30, 2014 grant period; however, no match is required. Funding in prior years has been about $150,000. Applicants are required to be an existing service provider with a non-profit 501(c)(3) status or government entity offering services to victims of sexual assault. The grant application deadline is August 19, 2013. For more information, click here.
