New Indianapolis Grant: Community Crime Prevention

CICFDoes your organization run a crime prevention program? The Indianapolis Foundation will be accepting applications from July 1 – July 31, 2013 from organizations that have experience in local crime prevention and/or crime reduction efforts. The Indianapolis Foundation (a Central Indiana Community Foundation affiliate) manages the grant program for the City of Indianapolis. Applicants must be a 501(c)(3) public charitable organizations or a public entity partnering with a 501(c)(3) charitable organization as a fiscal agent. Additional details about the 2013 Community Crime Prevention Grant Program will be published on July 1st. A competitive applicant will be required to demonstrate its ability to: (1) serve Marion County residents, (2) provide quality program and services and (3) measure the Impact of program services.

Since 2007, the program has provided nearly $12 million in grants to local education, health, youth development, workforce development and ex-offender re-entry organizations focused on reducing and preventing crime.
